The Fieldens

We just love the Fieldens!! They befriended us in when we first came to Palmdale. Nick and Missy were in my Primary class... yeah, they're a couple years apart but I taught the whole sr primary at one point!! And Scott, the dad, was our home teacher. Anyway, Lisa brings the kids to play with mine and we always have fun when we meet at Sams for a hotdog! Lisa is so much fun! I told her she is definately the one I'd call if I was ever in a Diet Coke emergency. James will die when he reads this! He hates my Diet Coke habit. But you love me right babe? wink wink!

Cowboy!

With his new bubble wand in hand, Miles jumps on Pluto and yells "Ridem cowboy!!" Where did he learn that one? I have no idea!! But I am loving this little guy's new thing: pretend! He is now a big fan of the kids show "Max & Ruby" and pretends that he is Max and I am Ruby (recently we determined that Daddy is the grandma which is so fitting because Grandma is so fun and easy going and Ruby is so bossy, like me!). Miles will say something like "Firetruck!!" and if I don't catch on right then, he'll say, "Mom! Say No Max!" and then we'll proceed to play Max and Ruby...

I really should be havinig James do this post since he was there to experience everything. Basically this is a day in Las Vegas James had with Miles and his brother Mike. I had a pretty peaceful day at home with the twins. Not having Miles to entertain made it peaceful...of course the twins were as demanding as usual.

Lincoln and Julia got to be held the whole afternoon. I'm sure they loved every minute of it because unfortunately, We can't hold them as much as we would like! It was so wonderful to have so many friends and family come from all over and many at great sacrifice of time and money to be with us on the special occasion. We are so grateful to all of them and really appreciate their love and support.

Some pictues of a few friends that came to our house after the blessing. I hate that I didn't get pictures of each family/individual that came!! Missing are the Spencers who couldn't stay long, the Houghton's, Layrno's, James' brother Mike and also Ben Bochway who surprized us and flew in from Salt Lake Sunday morning! We're so lucky to have everyone!!

July 5, 2009 was a very special day. James had the privilege of blessing Lincoln and Julia at our ward building here in Palmdale. Here are the twins in their special clothes that I loved shopping for. Lincoln is wearing the little tuxedo Miles wore. They were so cute and very good during their blessings, Lincoln fussed a little but neither one cried. Good job babies!

Stephen & Karen came to the blessing! They are our good friends from Lehi, UT. Miles loved playing with Tasha and it was the first time I got to see Calista, their 4 month old daughter. We're so glad they came.

My mom came for the babies blessings and so did my brother Lee and his wife Marilyn. It was so great to have them here and to have them meet the twins! We loved their visit. James' brother Michael also came from Philadelphia ... why don't I have pictures of him holding the twins?!!

My friend Cara has twins and she told me they loved to hold hands so when I found my twins doing it too, I was so excited!! Isn't it just precious?!

Where are those binkies?

Miles was being a big helper one day and found a new place to store the babies' binkies. In his shoes! Hmmm, not so sanitary!

I left Miles at the kitchen table to eat his grapes, this is what I discovered when I returned; grapes in a row on the table.
This was so cute. I think Miles wanted to be like Shawnee only he was watching Dumbo on his portable DVD player and she was surfing the net on her sweet laptop.

One night at dinner Miles wanted to tap glasses with Shawnee. (Thanks to my wise friend Leann, I now know it's called proposing a toast! I had a brain freeze when I originally wrote the post and didn't know the proper term) It was so funny they did it over and over. We all laughed.

The Harpers arrive!

June 5th is when I was scheduled to have the C-Section. Lynne arranged time off work to come and help. Little did we know the twins would come 3 weeks early! Luckily for me, the Harpers still came! We were so happy to have them come and enjoy Miles and the twins! It was so fun to have them here! Like Nicki & Haylee, they drove for hours and hours and even had to get a hotel there and back. While they were here, James and I got to go on a date and I had many opportunities to run errands while they took care of the twins! It was soooo wonderful!! Thanks so much guys!

Daddy gives good baths! Here he is giving Julia a bath. She was the first (Lincon was about 3 weeks later!) to lose her cord, so she gets the full bath. Lincoln just cries a lot. It's hard to keep him warm when a sponge bath is all he gets.

The twins are so small but it seems like they look normal size in every photo. Maybe these photos will show a little better their size.

Fun at the water park

James went with Nicki, Haylee and Miles to Dry Town, Palmdale's water park. When they got there the's funny characters were there to welcome them. Miles thinks their faces are "scary!"

Lincoln and Dr. Edralin

James had to go to Utah for work within a week of the twins' birth. One of the days he was gone (May 22nd) was the day of Lincoln's circumcision. So it was up to me to get it done. (the dr asked, "so what's dad's excuse for not being here today?") Here's Lincoln with our amazing pediatrician, Dr. Edralin. Lincoln did well through the procedure, although at times he cried harder than I've ever heard him cry, even though he was given a local anesthetic. It was so sad to see, but the Dr was really great and it's all over now!

Haylee's New Lonni-Purse

So Haylee uses the little purses I've made her over the years and I guess her family calls them Lonni-Purses. Because of all the great help Nicki and Haylee gave me, I had time to make Haylee a new purse to her specifications. Here she is modeling it. It was fun to make and I'm so glad I was able to give Haylee a little presant. It wasn't easy for her to be away from her dad and brothers for such a long time and she put up with a lot from Miles!

Haylee made these adorable hats for the twins! She is so sweet and loves to learn to make new crafts. While she was here she got a pot holder making kit and made 4 pot holders. I attempted to teach her how to sew. She helped me with the blanket I've been making for Julia until the sewing machine started acting up. She did get a lot done but was dissapointed we didn't get to finish it! Sorry Haylee!
