A scare at the construction site - funny valentine

The hospital project James is working on had a scare last week. Someone accitentally caught some roofing materials on fire and this was the result --- this photo really doesn't do it justice because the building you see is the Medical office Building in front of the hospital. The hospital is huge compared to this building. The work goes on and they're hoping the delays caused by the fire will be minimal.

The Saturday following the fire we had a ward icecream social and they encouraged everyone to write little valentines - compliments - notes of appreciation, etc, to others in the room. This is one James got. It says "Thanks for burning the hospital!" LOL

It was meant and taken as a joke. Several of the guys working on the project moved into this ward with their families and most of us have hefty callings. So the author of the 'valentine' really was grateful the fire happened because it probably means we won't all be leaving as early as planned.

Naughty, naughty, naughty!

"CHEESE!"

I had a monthly meeting with my excellent Young Women's Presidency at our house last Friday. All 4 of us have little ones so in a perfect world - the kids play nicely together while their mothers have a spiritually inspired planning meeting, right? Well, Miles was a little terror! He wanted my attention the entire time and how did he get it? By beating up all the other kids! He wouldn't share and chucked toys a their heads, making at least 2 of the 3 cry and at one point the other just held his hands over his ears and worried what would happen next?! I tried to discipline Miles as quickly as possible after each incident so he wouldn't get my attention and we could get everything done in our meeting but it wasn't enough. Just as we were finishing I put him in time out away from me so I could focus. I knew he would get out of the chair and I'd have to put him back, but I was shocked when he came toward me half naked! He had removed his shirt, and I think he tried to take off his pants, but when that didn't work he tried to take off his diaper with his pants on! This is how he looked! He got embarrassed when we all laughed and headed up the stairs to hide. You can see how funny it was. I had to run after him to get a picture and when he saw the camera he said CHEESE!!!! and pulled up the front of the diaper like a little show off.
We did manage to get everything taken care of and it was a successful meeting. I just hope the kids want to be his friends after all the mean things he did. Hmmm, two years old. I guess this is why the call it terrible twos.
