Anaverde Nursery

Running around

Sharon Matheson with Landon and Samanta Matheson with Miles

This is the first Nursery Miles attended. He enjoyed it so much that he started wanting to go during sacrament. (at his age who can blame him? he doesn't understand much except that he can play in nursery or sit still for an hour.) Our Nursery was second hour so sometimes we sent him in with the other ward's class. That lasted until one day their leader had to bring him to me in our sacrament meeting when he didn't want to join their lesson... it's not all fun and games Miles! We loved Miles' leaders and classmates. Most of the classmates came to playgroup too, so he had time to become friends. I look at these pictures and I feel homesick. I just love all my Palmdale friends. They did so much to help me with Miles and Young Women and then when the twins came... I'm just so grateful for all their love and support. This was a wonderful ward family and I'm so glad I had the chance to be part of it.

Awesome Visiting Teacher

Miles with Landon and Skye
Stacie Henderson was my visiting teacher the whole time I was in Anaverde ward and we always loved it when she and her kids come to visit. I was sad when her first companion, Angela Meyers moved away but luckily for us she stayed in town and I still saw her once in a while. Landon is really close to Miles' age and Miles had fun playing with him, but Skye.... Miles adored her!! He loved to talk to her and always wanted her to play. Luckily she's a good sport because 8 yr olds and 2 yr olds really don't have the same interests!

Palmdale Playgroup

Miles didn't want Kyleigh to go home. Lindsay and Elaine hlodning Lincoln and Julia, Mary and AnaLynn is on the ground, she's Lindsay's baby that is just growing soo fast.

Miles with Elaine's kids, Cameron and Blake, and Mary's niece Kyleigh.

We miss our playgroup pals in Palmdale. Here are some pictures I took the last playgroup we went to. I was late and some of the group had already gone home. Here we are at Anaverde park.

Lincoln

Lincoln loves to smile!! And get swung around. Here James is giving him a ride in his little seat.
Look at this little handsome guy!

First Day of Snow on the Mountains!

This view is from the lawn just outsid our front door. The mountain is covered with snow. Just a day or so later we got snow at our level, only it melted within a few minutes of falling.

Chicken

Miles tried to get the chicken out of the fridge by himself. Somehow it landed on the floor and he was in shock. I thought it was hillarious!

Smartie Pants

Here is Miles the day he learned to use the mouse (when I told him it's called a mouse he laughed and laughed!) and coloring.

The Great Aunties

My Mom's sisters, Buelah and Trilba are sooooooo sweet. We just love them so much. Here they are with my mom and the twins on their recent visit.

LOL! I'm always finding funny shots Miles took when I upload the pictures.

For some reason Miles thinks he has to put his hand on the babies head when he poses for a picture! Lincoln doesn't seem to mind in this photo.

Tumbleweeds to Sunflowers

Just up the street from our house is an empty field full of sunflowers. And all round town we see patches of wild sunflowers growing. Miles always points out the trees. I never thought Ogden, Utah had many trees until spending a few years in Palmdale where there really aren't many. Palmdale is such a desert that when driving we'd dodge the tumbleweeds that the constant wind was blowing across the road.

Maggie's Baby Shower

My friend Margaret is having her first baby!! Horray. Here we are at a baby shower with former WSU 3rd Ward friends. That's Amy holding Julia. (I had to take my girl to the shower!)
Funny story: Amy Maggie and I all lived in a basement apartment on 36th street next to WSU in consecutive order. Amy, me then Maggie. We each had the same room and each of us served as RS president while living in that room. We think it was that room! I wonder who took Maggie's place and if the tradition continued? Maybe if they knew the curse .. well lets say blessing that came along with it no one would move in!
We all wished Wendi was able to be with us! She lives in D.C. I just felt lucky to be instate to attend.
